Matt Turck, Managing Director at Bloomberg Ventures who lives and work in New York, has written an interesting post about Berlin! His post “A Guide to the Berlin Tech Ecosystem” is a great guide which lists the reasons to be excited about Berlin Tech and startup scene.
In Matt Turck’s post you can find Berlin’s key characteristics and the same time lists of notable startups; angels, seed investors, founder collectives or micro VCs and last but not least a list of VCs here in Berlin.
I agree with Matt when he writes that “just like New York or San Francisco are not like the rest of the U.S., Berlin is not like the rest of Germany” in fact, Berlin is an immigrant-friendly city and many people here speak english and “a number of Berlin startups, including some of the most prominent ones, were founded or co-founded by non German nationals”.
Berlin is an unicum in Europe and if you are an american angels, seed investors, founder or entrepreneur it would be usefulfor you to come for a stroll here in Berlin.
